Wine List - Page 20Beaujolais - Red Wines
Beaujolais
produced from the Gamay grape, produces pleasant, seductive wines. The quality rating
is simple - at the lowest level is Beaujolais. Then Beaujolais Villages; at the
top, the individual village names are used.
Each village produces a wine with a slightly different character.
All are light, fruity wines, but some like Moulin-à-Vent and Julienas
are more robust, whilst Fleurie is soft, silky and lush.
Loire -
Red Wines
In
such years as 2002, when the sun shines throughout the summer, Pinot Noir from
Sancerre is a fair match for any wines produced on the Côtes de Beaune.
